for everyone
Last weekend was a blast.

1. We had our annual "Me and My Dad Camp".  We had about 130 dads that came plus their kids.  One dad brought 4 of his kids.  He has become my hero since.

We did fun and crazy stuff from making our own kites, war games, egg relay, sack race, tug o' war, roasting marshmallows/hotdogs... For pics, click here.

It was awesome to see dads not only bond but take time to pray and connect with their kids.  My daughter, Janina, said that she saw her friend in tears when dads took time to pray for their kids.  I asked her why.  She said that her friend was simply touched by the moment of prayer (dads and kids).

I know that memories that were built will definitely last a lifetime.

Kudos to Jeremir Dolores, Jeff Eliscupides, Alfred Albarracin, Lel Jingco, Jojo Mangilad, Dodie Garcia, Jeff Pickrell for making all these possible.  Thank you to Weena for doing a lot of the behind the scenes prep.

2. Seeing our teachers (Glen Quizon, Jimson Uy and Norvic Cheng) rise up to preach to the kids in our weekend services was indeed a great encouragement.  We are definitely raising up men and women who are much better than us.  Kids are going home full of the word.

3. Pastor Sean Morris from Austrailia preached at the 5 and 7 pm services at Victory Fort.  He spoke about "Becoming".  It was powerful.  At the end of his message, my prayer was "Lord, help me to become all that you called me to be."

BABY UPDATE:

For those who are praying for our baby, thanks so much.  We've been told that several have been praying and fasting for our baby's healing.  We surely appreciate it.

We visited our doctor last Thursday.  She said that we'll need a congenital scan in 6 weeks to confirm the 2 cysts found in the baby's brain.   We are in faith that God will do a miracle from now till then.  Please stand with us in prayer.  We will continue to move in faith not in fear.

Thanks again.

Ptr Paolo, We are praying for your baby and believing with you for healing. I was in the 5pm service when u shared this.

Me and Nicole really enjoyed the camp (me and my dad 2008). It will be her last since she will 10 years old this May 1. I promised to bring her very early so we were the 2nd to arrive ( i take my hat off to the winner who came in 1 night earlier). Even though it was drizzling when we started the fungames it just it even more enjoyable. What was amazing is that we have no colds or coughs afterwards! God is good. I will surely miss it but do expect Nicole to pull your leg begging for 1 more chance...

I've said this to my other friends who faced huge trials in life: "You are blessed! For in this trial, God will have an opportunity to showcase His healing power!" Stand firm and never be dismayed for God knows what you feel and where you are at. Many people are praying for you and your baby. Your wife stirred up the faith of many people during the Sunday service when she testified about the cysts of your baby. This early God is already using the situation for His glory.

Is this the guy w/ 4 sons? He actually wanted to bring a 5th one. But the kid was 11yo. I wonder how the dads with 3 daughters fared...
